We Launched a Website (Finally)

We’re excited to share that SMAC officially has a new home online.

SMAC – Safer More Affirming Communities – exists to support and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community across Ouray County. As we’ve grown, it became pretty clear our old setup wasn’t cutting it. We needed something that better reflects who we are, what we do, and where we’re going.

So, we built it.

You’ll find a clearer look at who we are and what we stand for, including our mission and the people behind SMAC. It also gives us a proper home as a nonprofit organization.

We’ve also carved out a dedicated space for Ouray County Pride, with room to grow as the event continues to evolve each year.

There’s now a central place to keep up with upcoming events, along with photo galleries (coming soon) from past gatherings – because a lot of what we do is about showing up, and it matters to see that.

And importantly this website gives us somewhere to build from.

Not just post updates, but actually grow a community.

You’ll also see:

• Better access to resources and information

• Easier ways to get involved or reach out

• A clearer path for partnerships, volunteers, and supporters

• A structure that can scale as SMAC continues to grow and evolve

This isn’t a “finished product.” It’s a starting point. Like everything we do, this site is evolving. You might notice a few rough edges, things still being filled in, or features that aren’t fully built out yet.

We’ll keep refining it, adding to it, and shaping it.
